The founder and majority shareholder of Digital Tree, Mr. Theodoros Middleton handed the reins of the company to Mr. Phanos Demetriou.
Mr. Middleton, after the company’s successful 7-year-long journey, decided that it was time for the former deputy CEO, Mr. Phanos Demetriou, to take over as CEO.

Mr. Phanos Demetriou studied and graduated with a BSc in Business Administration and Computer Information Systems from the University of Indianapolis School of Business, and got his postgraduate degree from Lancaster University in the field of Business Administration: Marketing (2005-2009).
Afterward, he worked as an Account Executive at Ogilvy. Then, he started his startup, Socialitics, which was later turned into a Digital Agency, under the trade name Opium Works, which he directed until 2018, the year that OW Digital was acquired and fully integrated into Digital Tree. From 2018 until today, Mr. Phanos Demetriou has served as a managerial executive of the company, taking over as Digital Tree’s Deputy CEO in the last year.
Digital Tree began its journey in 2014. The company has had a dynamic trajectory and through acquisitions and imports of new products and services, has solidified its place in the Media, Internet Services, and E-Commerce industries. Digital Tree’s ecosystem includes online television, news, and sports webpages, online services (video production, digital marketing, website development), as well as platforms of E-Commerce and services. Currently, the company employs 150 professionals and has offices and Studios in Nicosia and Limassol. The company boasts a clientele of over 800 clients from various fields, both in Cyprus and abroad.

Ο Ιδρυτής και πλειοψηφικός μέτοχος της Digital Tree, κος Θεόδωρος Μίντλετον παρέδωσε το τιμόνι της Εταιρείας στον κο Φάνο Δημητρίου.
Ο κος Μίντλετον, μετά την 7χρονη επιτυχημένη πορεία της Εταιρείας, αποφάσισε πως έφτασε η ώρα να αναλάβει την Εκτελεστική Διεύθυνση, ο μέχρι πρότινος Αναπληρωτής Εκτελεστικός Διευθυντής, κος Δημητρίου.
«Ο Φάνος είναι διορατικός, έμπειρος και αφοσιωμένος. Μετά την εξαγορά της Εταιρείας Opium Works την οποία ίδρυσε και διηύθυνε, από την Digital Tree, είχα την τιμή να δουλέψω μαζί του για μερικά χρόνια. Τον σέβομαι και τον εκτιμώ απόλυτα. Εμπιστεύομαι τον Φάνο και είμαι σίγουρος πως το μέλλον της Digital Tree στα χέρια του θα είναι λαμπρό. Η Εταιρεία έχει στρατηγικούς στόχους, τους οποίους είμαι βέβαιος πως ο Φάνος θα εκπληρώσει. Είμαι δίπλα του ως ιδρυτής, κύριος μέτοχος και Εκτελεστικός Πρόεδρος του Συμβουλίου της Digital Tree», σημείωσε ο κος Θεόδωρος Μίντλετον.
Ο κος Φάνος Δημητρίου σπούδασε και τελείωσε BSc Business Administration, Computer Information Systems στο University of Indianapolis School of Business και απέκτησε μεταπτυχιακό στο Lancaster University σε Business Administration: Marketing (2005-2009).
Στην συνέχεια, εργάστηκε ως Account Executive στην Ogilvy. Στη συνέχεια, ξεκίνησε το δικό του startup, με το όνομα «Socialitics», το οποίο αργότερα εξελίχθηκε σε Digital Agency με την εμπορική επωνυμία Opium Works, την οποία και διηύθυνε μέχρι το 2018, χρονιά κατά την οποία η OW Digital εξαγοράστηκε και ενσωματώθηκε πλήρως στην Digital Tree. Από το 2018 μέχρι σήμερα, ο κος Φάνος Δημητρίου διετέλεσε διευθυντικό στέλεχος της εταιρείας, ενώ κατά την τελευταία χρονιά ήταν ο Deputy CEO της Digital Tree.
Η Digital Tree άρχισε τη διαδρομή της το 2014. H Εταιρεία έχοντας δυναμική πορεία, μέσω εξαγορών και εισαγωγών καινούργιων προϊόντων και υπηρεσιών, κατέχει σήμερα σημαντική θέση στον χώρο των ΜΜΕ, Υπηρεσιών Διαδικτύου και e-Commerce. Το οικοσύστημα της Digital Tree περιλαμβάνει διαδικτυακή τηλεόραση, ειδησεογραφικές και αθλητικές ιστοσελίδες, διαδικτυακές υπηρεσίες (video production, digital marketing, website development), καθώς και πλατφόρμες ηλεκτρονικού εμπορίου και υπηρεσιών. Η Εταιρεία σήμερα εργοδοτεί 150 επαγγελματίες, διαθέτει γραφεία και studio σε Λευκωσία και Λεμεσό. Το πελατολόγιο της ξεπερνά τους 800 πελάτες από διάφορους τομείς, εντός και εκτός Κύπρου.
